Unlocking Potential Providing Opportunities Achieving Goals

School Meals Service

Break time - Free Fruit & Water

All children in Foundation and KS1 have a piece of free fruit each day. KS2 children can buy fresh fruit if they wish or alternatively bring a cereal bar or fruit from home. All children can access free drinking water throughout the day.

Lunch

School dinners follow a four weekly rota and are served on the premises. All children are offered a choice of a hot meal, salad or sandwiches and they are encouraged to try things, but no child has to eat anything they dislike. There is always a choice of milk, juice or water available to drink with the meal.

Children who stay for lunch regularly should pay the whole week in advance. Please enquire at the school office for the current charge for a school meal. Please put the money in an envelope or purse each Monday: this should be marked with your child’s name and the amount enclosed.  Cheques should be payable to Derbyshire County Council.

Packed Lunches

Children can bring a packed lunch from home if they prefer. They eat alongside all of the other children in the dining room.

If your child wants to swap from dinners to packed lunches please give us two-weeks notice.

During the lunch break all of the children are supervised by our Midday Supervisors.

Please contact the school if you think you may qualify for free school meals for your child. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
